FAQ
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Submit the inquiry form found linked on my website (or in my Instagram bio). I will reach out to you ASAP to confirm my availability or discuss other day/time options. Once your the date is confirmed, you will pay your deposit and be all set!
We'll discuss your vision and find the perfect location for your session. My listed rates include travel with 25 miles of 77057, but I am happy to travel within the Greater Houston area or beyond for an additional fee. If traveling outside of the Greater Houston area, I will require additional travel fees to cover my transportation and lodging as needed.
My standard listed rates (excluding mini sessions) do not include rental fees for private locations or studio rentals. Any cost associated with rental fees will added to your final invoice.
It's best to book your photo session with me as soon as possible! Currently, I am only booking sessions on weekends. To ensure that I have enough time to understand your vision, plan, and book any necessary reservations or permits, I need at least three weeks notice. So, the sooner you book, the better! Sometimes I will have last minute availability if we are planning to shoot somewhere free and public (like a park or at your home). Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or to schedule your session.
You can have as many people in your one-hour Portrait Session as you would like, but keep in mind that the more people we have to pose, the less time we have to get a variety of poses and images.
If you have paid a deposit to reserve a session with me, you may reschedule one time if necessary. After the first reschedule, your deposit will be forfeited and you must submit a new deposit to rebook. If you decide to cancel your session, your deposit is non-refundable.
If we have to reschedule for weather related reasons, we will find a new time that works for us both at no cost to you.
I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and I will work with you to find a new date and time that works for both of us. Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your session.
While I am honored to photograph your surprise proposal, engagement party, bridal portraits, or backyard wedding, I do not photograph full production weddings (at least not yet). I am happy to send you recommendations for wedding photographers if you would like.
It's important to wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident during your photo session. However, if you have a specific vision in mind for the "vibe" of your images, please share that with me ahead of time so we can make sure your outfit choices align with that vision. If you're unsure of what to wear or how to coordinate your family's outfits, don't hesitate to reach out! I am more than happy to offer guidance and suggestions to help you look your best.
A few general best practice suggestions:
- Don't wear clothing that wrinkles easily, and iron your clothes before our shoot. I will charge you additional editing fees if you request excess editing to remove wrinkles. (And remember to take items out of your pockets too!)
- Avoid clothing with words or images on them. These can be distracting from what's most important (YOU!)
- Consider the surroundings and plan accordingly to provide contrast while complementing the environment.
We'll have a discussion before your session to decide if there are any props or additional items that you need to bring, but for the most part just bring yourself ready to go! If your session includes children or pets, snacks or treats are always a good idea. Oh yeah, and if you're proposing, don't forget the ring!
If we have decided on a time and place for your session, please make sure you have given yourself enough time to park and find our meeting location by the start time. I will always arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure we ready to go at the start time of your session. If you are late to the session, I cannot guarantee that I will be able to extend the end time, but you will still owe me the full amount. Please arrive early with hair, makeup, and clothing ready to go! I want to capture as many beautiful moments as possible for you.
I do not offer these services within my packages, however I can send you recommendations for hair and makeup artists as requested. It is your responsibility to contact and arrange these services prior to our session.
I will send you sneak peeks within a day or two of our session. Your full gallery can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks depending on the length of coverage and number of final images. If you need your photos in a rush, please communicate this with me and we can arrange for faster turnaround time for an additional fee.
Your balance must be paid in full before I will share final downloadable images. If you would like to reserve a studio space or additional rentals, the passthrough cost of those rentals must be paid at the time of booking.
Details, visual storytelling, and bringing people together is my jam. If it falls under one of these categories, I am probably interested in hearing about it.
As a trained and practicing graphic designer and creative strategist, I would be happy to help with any graphic design needs you may have before or after your photography session including graphic design (custom invitations, announcements, etc.) and brand development. In addition to design, I am an experienced event manager and skilled planner and would love the opportunity to help you plan your next event or travel destination. If you have a creative idea, I want to chat!
A few services I do not offer: videography, social media management, web development, or animation.
